Serbian Dental Society

Serbian Dental Society is a professional organization formed by joining all specialized sections of Serbian Medical Society, including the Dentistry Section of the Society of Doctors of Vojvodina.

Among the founders of Serbian Dental Society are also the following: Section for Children's and Preventive Dentistry, Serbian Orthodontic Society, Periodontic Society, Endodoncy Society, as well as the most numerous dentistry organization- Serbian Society of Private Dentists. Academy for Estetic Dentistry is also one of the founders of Serbian Dental Society.

Goals of Serbian Dental Society:

• Affirmation and continuous improvement of dentistry
• Cultivating positive traditions of Serbian and worldwide dentistry
• Organized encouragement and follow up of appliance of ethical principles in dentistry

Tasks of the Society include:

• Continuous professional improvement of Society members and timely application of contemporary scientific and professional achievements in dentistry practice, as well as participation in organizing scientific meetings which would be CME certified;
• Active cooperation with FDI, BaSS, as well as with relevant dentistry associations in country and abroad;
• Stimulating organized scientific research work in all forms and areas of dentistry;
• Active participation in analyzing issues in dentistry profession and improving the quality of work;
• Suggesting measures for novation of legal acts in the area of dentistry;
• Cooperation with scientific-research and educational institutions of dentist, medical and pharmaceutical profession in country and abroad;
• Publishing books, brochures and relevant scientific and expertise publications with purpose of affirmation of Society goals and professional improvement of their members;
• Organizing the national Congress of Serbian dentists
